Song of Solomon, poem of how great a love can beWho is this poem about?

It is about a man and woman just before and after they get married.

A love where praise erases insecurity: What does erases insecurity mean?

The woman feels unsure about her appearance, but the man lets her know how beautiful she is to him. He makes her feel beautiful and protected by his love. She tells him how he is more desirable to her than any other man. She makes him feel like the greatest man on earth.

Overcomes indifferenceWhat does indifference mean?

It means we are thinking more about what we want than about what the one we love wants. True love learns to care about the other persons desires.

And grows in maturityWhat does grows in maturity mean?

It means their love continues to grow stronger and more beautiful. The husband and wife in this love poem continue to desire, enjoy, and love each other more and more, not less and less.

Song of Solomon, romantic Song of Songs: What does romantic mean?

It means the excitement of the feelings of love.

What does the Song of Songs mean?

It means of all the love songs this is the best.

Preparation: For Israel, through whom the Savior would come, this book expresses the hearts longing for true and lasting love.

Pictures: The very best of a beautiful relationship between a husband and wife is a picture for us of the closeness and richness the Savior desires with His people who trust Him.
